Cisco does not support the classic VPN client on windows 8 or 10. Unfortunately, not everyone has upgraded there routers or firewalls to support the Cisco Anyconnect Client. In order to get the classic client working, follow these steps.
1. Uninstall the Cisco VPN client and any Deterministic Network Enhancers that may be installed.
2. Reboot your computer.
3. Download the Sonicwall VPN client from:
http://help.mysonicwall.com/applications/vpnclient/
4. Reboot your computer.
5. Install the correct Cisco VPN Client for you operating system (32-bit vs. 64-bit).
6. Occasionally, you will need to change the following registry key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesCVirtA
Change the Display Name key as follows.
x86 – “@oem8.ifn,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter” to “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter”
x64 – “@oem8.ifn,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows” to “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows”
After this, the classic VPN client should work on Windows 10.
